Arrowtown and Surrounds Tour

Join us for a half-day tour of historic Arrowtown and the surrounding region, with its enchanting landscapes and rich gold-mining history. Throughout the journey, your knowledgeable local guide will share fascinating stories and local insights.

Your guide will pick you up from your hotel, then we’ll take the scenic route including the dramatic Shotover River gorge, crossing the historic Edith Cavell Bridge, high above the swirling waters of the Shotover River. Stop at the Coronet Peak Skippers lookout for breathtaking views across Queenstown, The Remarkables and Arrowtown, before continuing on our way to the charming township of Arrowtown.

Upon arrival in Arrowtown, enjoy the boutiques and cafes in the historic village. You will have time for a coffee at a local cafe and a leisurely stroll along the shady riverbank of the Arrow River, and to explore the historic buildings housing unique boutiques, art galleries, jewellery and crafts. Your guide will lead you through the Arrowtown Chinese Settlement, a restored tribute to the significant role played by Chinese miners and entrepreneurs in the region's history.

On the way back to Queenstown, stop at the Kawarau Bungy Bridge, the birthplace of bungy jumping. Immerse yourself in the enchanting landscapes of Middle-earth at the Pillars the Kings and capture the serenity of Lake Hayes.

Encounter Glenorchy Experience

If you wish, your guide will escort you on a guided walk along the Glenorchy Boardwalk through the wetlands, offering vistas of majestic Humbolt Mountains and, on tranquil days, mirror-like reflections. Alternatively, extend your scenic drive further to Paradise, with its iconic photo opportunities. Capture a photo beside New Zealand’s most photographed road sign.

Optional Upgrade: If you wish, add on the Dart River Wilderness Jet Experience (additional 2 hours and additional cost). Pump up the adrenaline on this jet boat ride, exploring iconic, untouched landscapes inaccessible by other means in the pristine Dart River Valley and Mount Aspiring National Park in Te Wahipounamu, the South West New Zealand UNESCO World Heritage Area.

Milford Experience

This is a once-in-a-lifetime experience through the lush rainforests and dramatic Fiordland scenery to Milford Sound (Piopiotahi) and a cruise on the mysterious fiord.  Picture yourself surrounded by the awe-inspiring beauty of Fiordland, in Te Wahipounamu, the South West New Zealand UNESCO World Heritage Area.

Relax and enjoy the spectacular full day journey from Queenstown to Milford Sound and back, in comfort with your private driver-guide. Arriving at Milford Sound, the majestic Mitre Peak commands your attention, placing you at the heart of the eighth wonder of the world. A picnic lunch and fiord cruise are included in this tour. Step aboard your cruise for an unforgettable journey through this incredible fiord, where sheer cliffs rise from the dark waters, and waterfalls cascade into the depths below. Delve into the fascinating world of bees and beehives before getting your hands sticky with interactive activities. Uncap, spin, filter and bottle your very own jar of fresh honey to take home.

After bottling your honey, refresh with a coffee or hot chocolates at the Buzzstop cafe. Then venture south on the dramatic Devil's Staircase road around the edge of Lake Whakatipu, with breath-taking views of the lake and surrounding mountains. On the way, enjoy a gourmet picnic lunch surrounded by the spectacular views.

In the afternoon, immerse yourself in rural New Zealand on a private farm tour at Real Country NZ, a 22,000-acre (9,000 hectare) sheep and beef farm. Learn to crack a whip, witness a sheep dog mustering demonstration, or enjoy a working horse communication and interact with the friendly farm animals. Take a break for smoko, afternoon tea with homemade scones and bacon and egg pie. Next, take inspiration exploring Arrowtown’s historic streets, steeped in gold rush history. Take a leisurely stroll along the tranquil banks of the Arrow River, explore unique boutiques and immerse yourself in the local art galleries.

For lunch, sit down to a Chef’s selection at a local restaurant, featuring an array of signature dishes crafted from New Zealand’s finest sustainable ingredients. Enjoy a private wine tasting experience to complement your meal perfectly.

Aoraki Mount Cook Tour

Join us for the adventure of a lifetime in one of New Zealand’s most iconic natural wonders.

For those wanting to explore the magnificence of Aoraki Mt Cook from Queenstown in a single day, allow us to take you on an unforgettable private day tour.

Your experienced local guide will pick you up from your accommodation in Queenstown. Relax and enjoy the unfolding beauty of the alpine landscapes from the comfort of your private vehicle. Follow the dramatic Kawarau River Gorge, then traverse the scenic alpine Lindis Pass. Continue past high country merino sheep farms and idyllic canals, and if you wish, stop at the sustainable salmon farm, before reaching the breathtaking shores of Lake Pukaki. Here, the mesmerising turquoise hue of the lake, caused by glacial flour suspended in the water creates a stunning visual spectacle against the backdrop of the southern Alps.

Arriving at Aoraki Mount Cook National Park, you will enter a world of awe-inspiring grandeur. Marvel at the towering peaks and expansive glaciers. The majestic Aoraki Mount Cook, New Zealand’s highest mountain, proudly stands at an impressive 3,724 meters (more than 12,000 feet). You may choose a self-guided walk along the Hooker Valley track, or spend time exploring the captivating Aoraki Mount Cook village.
